After driving 2750km, we have returned home. Quebec City is beautiful and the Maine coast is just as lovely as I imagined. We did, however, have pretty crappy weather --rain, wind, coldish temps for this time of year, fog and plenty of cloud cover. That said, we enjoyed it as much as possible.

I have created two flickr sets, one for Quebec City and the other one for Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park.

After traveling over 1500km during the last 10 days, we're finally back home. We went to Maryland to visit my parents and then with Melissa's mom to Toronto and Niagara Falls.

As usual, I have created galleries and Flickr sets:

For Thanksgiving we went to Florida to visit Melissa's brother's family. We had a nice time and were able to visit Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

New gallery from our recent trip to Va. Beach, where we had a lovely time with my family.

This weekend we went to the lovely 1000 Islands area. It is about two and a half hours north of Ithaca along the border with Ontario. We took a boat tour and visited Singer Castle as well as Boldt Castle. Beautiful sights and great weather. New photo gallery here.

Last Thursday we flew to LA for my cousin's wedding (photos coming soon). On the way to LAX from Detroit, we saw Verne Troyer, famous for his role as Mini-Me from the Austin Powers movies. He was in first class (duh) and we spotted him at the gate, while boarding and again at the baggage claim.

I'm going with my boss to Streaming Media 2007 (East) in NYC. We're going to attent several of the sessions, walk around the exhibition floor, and perhaps enjoy a couple of nights of big city life.

Rachael Sage rocked. The cafe we were in was very small, about 15-20 tables and there were about 50 people there, so it was very intimate. She sang and played the keyboard and was accompanied by a cello and trumpet. The sound was, like her studio albums, quite solid and surprisingly filling considering there were only 3 instrumens on the stage. She autographed one of our CDs, too

Also, last night we returned from Ottawa. Though with a population of over 700 thousand, it seemed pretty manageable. We stayed downtown and walked everywhere (except when we went to Dow Lake on the Tulip Festival shuttle). We visited Parliament Hill and several other areas. The flowers had not fully bloomed, but the patches that had looked excellent. We'll be working on some new galleries (we've fallen way behind on our photo updates...) so stay tuned. In the meantime, here are some quick samples.

We're going to see Rachael Sage sing Friday night at the Cyber Cafe West in Binghamton, about one hour south of Ithaca.

Then Saturday we're heading to Ottawa for the Canadian Tulip Festival. The weather forecast looks excellent. I'm hoping to have lots of colorful pictures.

Melissa and I went to Montreal for the weekend. What a lovely city. Lots of snow but quite charming. Here are the photos.
