Melissa has just told me that she has received the Chancellor's Award from LSU:
A cash award of $1,000 is presented annually to a high ranking graduating student who has done the most to promote the health sciences and the School before the public. Selection is made by a committee of the faculty appointed by the Dean, with consultation by members of the graduating class. This award was established by the Chancellor of the Medical Center in 1977.
